Hello, I am Matteo

Role: project manager. A parent. An expatriate based in Rome, Italy.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter abroad.

How It Began

Moving to Italy wasn’t in the derail plan. As with many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.

The early months were demanding— unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Routine tasks seemed more challenging than expected.

The Adjustment Period

There was cultural adjustment, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually routines emerged. We found spots that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt steady.

Why I Created EgfYbeExhIce

Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice grounded in real life in Italy.

What This Site Does (And Doesn’t)

This site is:

  • Practical know-how from life in Italy
  • Centered on family life and daily realities
  • Updated whenever a real change occurs

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism authority resource
  • A promoted review platform
  • A general travel blog

Moving Forward

Our stay in Italy goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Rome or anywhere in Italy, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Matteo
